We just moved to Monterey a few months ago and this is definitely one of our favorite places to eat. The service is very friendly- at times a bit slow, but still good. We love the sushi because it is FRESH. They don't make all of the American-ized rolls that you'll often find at other Japanese restaurants but if you like good, traditional sushi and sashimi, I highly recommend this place.
The beef teriyaki is also one of my favorites.
