Vivace, Belmont

Vivace is one of the best Italian Restaurants around Bay Area. The service was excellent and the food was definitely to go back for. My wife and I were very happy with the size of portions, the taste and the presentation of the dishes we had. Also the fresh oven cooked pizza at this place is phenomenal! I would highly recommend this restaurant for a lovely, welcoming dinner experience.

I enjoyed dinner @ Vivace, but the bill was a bit of a shock. We didn't even have wine. Food was pretty good, and the service was good.

We had 7:30 dinner reservations. When we arrived, we were told our table was just being prepared and pointed towards the bar. The bar was empty and there were several tables in the bar area. The woman behind the bar (not the bartender) was not very knowledgeable on drinks and the bartender seemed very frazzled and short tempered. After waiting 20+ minutes, I asked the hostess if we should just sit at one of the tables in the bar to eat (which was fine by me). But, she assured me our table was almost ready and apologized sincerely. We finally sat a few minutes before 8pm and received a nice large, cozy booth. Our food was okay - the caeser salad didn't have much flavor but the beet salad was excellent. My husband had the seafood pasta and found bones in the salmon chunks. When we showed the server, he offered to remake it, but we said no thank you. He instead refilled our wine glasses and brought us a free dessert. This made up for it!

My wife and I had the pleasure of dining here. The food was perfectly prepared and the service was attentive but not overbearing. This is a wonderful little restaurant. I highly recommend the stuffed chicken and the veal marsala.

Great Food My wife, daughters and I really enjoyed the food and service at Vivace. The seafood pasta and the Veal were the best. We are from San Bernardion, California and can find nothing there to equal the experience of this fine restaurant. Thank you so very much. The Colangelo family
