just like any other asian restaurant. Ordered the orange chicken, made me sick. Threw it up and felt way better.

This restaurant is the best Chinese Restaurant that I've ever eaten at! Not only is there great service there is great people working there!!! the food is very inexpensive! try and you will go everyday!

A discreet family restaurant, Jim's is probably the best Chinese Restaurant in the Monterey area. The prices are great and the people are friendly.

I never write reviews, but after eating here this evening, I felt compelled to do so. This place is a very small restaurant, only seats about 30, and when we went there, it was pretty packed. There was unfortunately only one waiter during our meal, and we did have quite a wait, but it was WELL worth it. Very reasonably priced, all our food was good, the veggies were very fresh, and the Orange Chicken is by far the best I have ever had!! I am still thinking about it now, hours after our meal is over. The sauce is just a little sweet, not overly so, with a hint of orange in there and though the chicken is completely covered in the orange sauce, the chicken is still remarkably crispy. I seriously can't say enough about the orange chicken there! It is simply amazing!!!!

Good value. Reasonable price, for larger than expected portions. We order two entrees for two people, and always have enough for another meal. The quality of the food is also reliably good. It is small on the interior, and we usually order take-out.

I LOVE Jims! We lived in Monterey from 2000-2003. It was our favorite Chinese place in Monterey. We just recently moved back to California...and Jim's was our first stop! After 6 years of being gone, the owners still remembered us! We now live in San Diego and I only eat Chinese when we travel to Monterey. Best Food ever! And the owners are great, hard working people! I highly recommend this restaurant!!

This is it people!! you would have to travel to China to taste anything close to the fresh great food from Jim's and with the prices it can't be beat.

They have the best chinese food in town. Best H & S Soup. Best Fried rice. Small family restaurant food with good food. It is inexpensive. VERY GOOD.
