Totos Pizzeria & Restaurant
Toto's Restaurant & Pizzeria was first opened by my grandparents, Caroline and Antonio (Toto) Spadarella in 1932 on Coney Island Avenue in Brooklyn. Both were from Naples, the region in Italy where pizza originated. Using a huge brick oven, they began baking pizza according to the traditional recipe, the same recipe we use today.
q- I m from NYC and I have to say this place is just - ok. I ve been there a few times now and it s way over priced and the pizza was not the same the 3 times I went. For SF yes it s good but it s not great and they need to come down on their prices . And why can t I buy just a slice? Why do I have to buy a whole pie? Crazy
Can't imagine why Mike T would say that about ToTo's Pizza...he obviously does not know his pizza....this is the BEST pizza in SF and surrounding. I grew in SF and we used to go to the one on Mission Street when we were young and I gotta tell ya...it's still the same taste. My favorite...mushroom, sausage and cheese...ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. I've been eating this pizza for 50 years!!! Don't change, I love it! Mike get back to Pizza Hut or one of those other copy cats...ToTo's is the BOMB!
I've been to Toto's twice now, and have been disappointed both times. They have limited topping options, their staff is rude, and the pizza is quite soggy. I haven't tried their pasta dishes, but my first couple of experiences were bad enough that I don't think I'll give them a third shot to find out. There are much better options for Italian food / pizza locally.
i havent been to this location, but ill give it a try. if its as good as the dc location, this will be a good pizza spot close to my house.
from previous comments, people use to go to the daly city location (thats the one i used to go to too). there's actually a totos in san bruno too.
I loved the toto's when they had it in Daly City my whole family would always get pizza from them! Sometimes we get take out and bring the pizza back to San Lorenzo! I wish they would make one over here!
My husbands family went to Daly city Toto's for years. We live in Santa Cruz county and bring home Toto's every chance we can. If your ever in Santa Cruz you should try pizz my heart. Toto's will always be my families favorite.
