China Village is the place I usually get take-out Chinese food. Their food quality sometime fluctuates, depends on who is the cook that day. But overall is not bad at all. Their Yeung Chow Fry Rice is the best among all the Chinese restaurants in Belmont. Their service is fast. Portion size is good.
I went to China Village a couple of months ago on a first date. I let him pick the restaurant. The food was good but what I didn’t like was the wait staff approaching your table every 5 minutes asking if you were ok and if you needed to go boxes. The restaurant was quite empty when we were there and they were still trying to rush us out of there. I felt like we couldn’t talk without getting interrupted. So bad choice if you are trying to get to know someone. If you know someone and don’t mind being interrupted by all means go there.
Our take-out experience tonight was not very good. We were given curry chicken instead of the cashew chicken we orderd. A few pieces of chicken in our mu shu were completely raw, as was the filling in our pot stickers. The prices were good, but that doesn't come close to compensating for the poor quality of ingredients, the mixed up order, and the poor preparation of the food. Look elsewhere for your next meal. Gin Mon up Ralston is a much better, albeit more expensive, option.
