The first is the best
I have been to Elephant Bars in many places. This particular one was my first experience. The locations change drastically, but the food stays the same. It is consistently excellent, and I am never disappointed. I have tried many things on the menu over time. Occassionally I am slightly disappointed with a particular item, but that is more for my expectations of what it should be rather than the quality of the food. The menus in every Elephant Bar can be almost daunting. The number of items on them is amazing and with a wide variety of everything from stir-fry to good old fashion hamburgers. The one item I keep coming back for though is the Jumbalaya. It is the best item on the menu by far. All I have to do is think about it and I know where I will go for lunch. With the obligatory cheese bread, every last drop of the sauce is mopped up so none is wasted. The hard part is deciding whether to go with the dinner portion, or the lunch portion so I can save room for the Creme Brulee. And the Creme Brulee is incredible. Melt in your mouth even. Some days are better than others, but its kinda like the old saying about the worst day of vacation is better than the best day of work - even the worst Creme Brulee is better than the best bowl of corn flakes. The only thing that keeps me from going there more often is the price. For lunch a group of 5 will run about $80 including a reasonable tip. A little more than I want to spend on a casual lunch experience, but like I said, the Jumbalaya is worth it. It is definitely more reasonably priced as a semi-casual dinner experience than a casual lunch. The service is always excellent and the staff friendly and helpful. Check out any of the Elephant Bars across the country. You won't be disappointed.
