Coconut Bay Restaurant, Burlingame

This place should be condemed by the health inspector!! dirty dishes piled next to the toilet door on the floor,, and black grease all over the doors,, food was .. lets just say i sent it back... (won't go there for fear of vomiting.)..If you know Thai food you will be horrified!!! This is the dirtiest place (note i did not say restaurant) i have ever been in. I left after 10 minutes... DO NOT GO THERE Yellow Curry is just green water. I have been to hundreds of Thai restaurants and this is bad.

I went here last night for Valentines day and I have to say this was the best Thai food I have ever had! The coconut soup was very exotic and was literally orgasmic. The dancing prawns which where stuffed with crab were also very delicious and grilled to perfection! The prices where reasonable, the atmosphere was low key and romantic and the customer service was superb! This place is definitely an exotic treat for the taste buds:)

Lady Fingers, Dancing Prawns, the Thai Coconut Soup are some of the highlights. We dine at CCB at least twice a week then stroll to Burlingame Av. The food is decent and the place clean with good service. The deserts are good - Roti, Mango with Sticky Rice.

Ordinary Thai food; Good ambience: I eat at Thai satay, San mateo at least once a fortnight and decided to try a different place. I went with a colleague of mine from work for lunch. The place has good decor with hardwood floors and bamboo curtains and has a laid back atmosphere. We ordered a few different items from the lunch menu which is relatively inexpensive. The food seems more like fusion thai than authentic thai. There are many other better (taste/flavor wise) thai restaurants in the bay area. If you crave for real, authentic thai food then look elsewhere. However, if you like to soak in the environment and dont want to feel rushed then coconut bay is not that bad. I wouldnt probably visit this place again for the food. Narin Thai which is just two shops away next to Roti Bistro is much better in terms of food quality and taste.

I love Thai food, and I usually get Pad Thai with Chicken. Coconut Bay has the best in the bay area! The service is outstanding and friendly, and the ambience is great. I have only been there for lunch, not sure what it is like for dinner, but I imagine it would be great. Appetizers and desserts are great too. Other favorites (besides the Pad Thai) is Green curry and rice, drunken noodles (spicy) and chicken with peanut sauce. DELICIOUS!!!

This is one of my favourite restuarants. The Red curry chicken lunch special is the best red curry dish i have eaten in the whole of bay area!! The lunch specials are the best, though the dinner was not as good. The lunch special comes with salad and spring roll. The salad is fresh and comes with a special lemony sour sweet dressing. The spring roll is crispy and delicious. The service is another thing i liked, no attitude, always quick to respond to needs and service is always with a smile :-)

My coworker started taking me to Coconut Bay for lunch, and now I am an addict. This is one of Thai food restaurants that I have eaten at. Try the garden Fresh rolls as an appetizer. They are out of this world! Service is always great, and the food is consitently good. Always enjoyable!
