Crown & Anchor, Monterey

Personally I love crown and anchor..they have a great veggie burger and a great bartender named Penelope. She is amazing !! I just love her!! And she knows how to poor a good guiness

service sucks, don't know how to pour guinness horrible bartender especially the girl with the glasses.

Best bar in Monterey, hands down. Good food, great staff, fair prices.

I was searching for beautiful Pacific Grove on the ocean, between Pebble Beach and Monterey. Unfortunatley, Yahoo has now lumped seven cities into one travel search? In Pacific Grove I suggest these favorites: Joe Rombi's la Mia Cucina-Italian & Seafood, Peppers Mexicali Grill, or Holly's for breakfast. Ask a local.

food was good, bar was excellent place is small if you are on a time table for touring you need to make reservation. Next time this #1 eats on my list

Best Clam Chowder in Monterey! Great fired calamari, great place if you want to have good food at a good price. Located in Downtown Monterey.

The food is average and it's nearly impossible to get seated. Had the bartender and host argue with eachother about who was going to seat us. Neither wanted to. When our host finally sat us down at a table he cursed and threw our menus at us. Great place if all you want to do is get drunk.

Tha patio of the crown is hands down the best place to drink and grab a late night snack anywhere in Monterey the Patio staff of Art and Scot keep the beers comin and the atmosphere pleasant with thier friendly service. The Duck is dirty, Doc's is trashy, Octane is too Salinas the Brit is drunken kareoke, and lalla's is too quite and polite.

Can't say enough about the Crown & Anchor in Monterey! The food is outstanding - the Cheeseburgers and the New Zealand Green Mussels are especially good. Lots of beers on tap. We usually hung out on the patio - summer and winter. Great food, plentiful drinks, and good service - what more can you ask! Although I haven't been there in a while (moved away from Monterey), I hear thru the grapewine that it's still kickin.'
