Indian Summer, Monterey

The food does not taste like real Indian food. However, the waitresses were very nice.

I visited this place yesterday only because of favorable reviews on Yahoo! and I wonder how anyone gave this place a positive review. All four of us including my kid fell sick (symptoms varied from throwing up, headache and diarrhea to body aches, all of which point to food poisoning) within twelve hours after dining here (nauns, bhartha and malai). While I suspect prices of dishes served here to be in the top quartile, I'm certain that their taste and edibility to be at the bottom quartile. I'd rate this place one star for both prices and quality aspects alone, but with such adverse effects we experienced, I just hope Yahoo! allowed me to rate zero stars. I'm totally disappointed with this place and our dining experience.

Best Indian food I have ever eaten!!! Love the inside decor and especially love the outside gardens. Truely a pleasant experience. you have to go and let me know with your review.

The last time I went to Indian Summer, I have to admit it was one of the worst experiences I had in a restaurant. But now I've learned I.S. was under new ownership, so decided to give it another try. It's been a while since I've enjoyed Indian food this much. The food and service was excellent!! Definitely the best Indian food in town!

My husband and I go there and enjoy all the different flavors. We do not go there to drink or to hang out at the Hookah Lounge. The food was good. The menu has alot of Nepalese entrees compared to Indian. Not the absolute best Indian I have eaten but we go there often to try new items on the menu.

i had a dinner last night at indian summer with my family, food was so delicious i can't describe it.my whole family loved it.this is great place to eat real indian food. i go indian summer restaurent twice a week. love their food and the management. so friendly.

I have been to Indian Summer about a half dozen times or so, and have always been treated rather rudely each time. I have stories ranging from one of the older employees refusing to serve my friends and I for no given reason; to being told (by the same employee) that their business was closed for the night when it obviously was not. This older employee makes each visit rather uncomfortable. He has made it apparent on several occasions that he does not want my business even though I have always attempted to be respectful. I do not want to jump to conclusions but every time I encounter this certain employee, he acts as if he may be a tad racist; I am hispanic/asian descent.

Pretty good food. Not the best Indian food I've ever had but I'll definitely go back. It was a little pricey, but overall a decent place to go.
