Oh my, I've died and gone to Athens. I had the lamb kabob, which was lean, tasty, and done just right. There was so much lamb on the skewer they had to put the grilled veggies on the side. My wife had the musaka, which was dripping in cheese and filled with favored meat. Her plate was clean when we left. We skipped desert because the both of us were topped to the brim.
Both meals were served with a small Greek salad. Unfortunately the salad did not live up to the main courses. It was a bit wilty and a bit over powering with vinagre. And the tomatoes were a bit sparse. In all the salad was only fair.
Service was excellent, amiable, and responsive without being intrusive. The atmosphere is a bit Spartan, but then it is Greek. The only really negative factor is the lack of parking. We dropped by the day before, but were unable to find parking on the Monterey streets nearby. Which is why we went the next night...I found a parking place.
The wine list is limited, which is a surprise knowing how much wine is enjoyed by the locals (of which I am one). We paid a bit over $50 for the two meals; well worth it. I highly recommend Epsilon if you like Greek cuisine.
