Wild Plum Cafe & Bakery
Pull up a chair or a stool, as the case may be, and settle down to enjoy fresh-baked bread, yummy cookies and steaming cups of coffee at this friendly, informal bakery. Lunchtime visitors can either order a sandwich from the menu or come up with their own recipe from the list of meats, cheeses, and condiments. This is no ordinary deli counter, either. The choices include pesto, grilled onions and Jarlsberg cheese. The decor is adorable within and without, with bright murals and baskets of flowers accenting the airy dining room and the shaded outdoor patio.
I had the Wild Plum Cafe @ Bakery cater for my mothers memorial service Feb of this year. They did an outstanding job. Those attending the service really enjoyed the food provided at the reception.
Everything was done in a timely manner from start to finish.
I called the cafe at lunchtime and left an order for the following morning. I got a friendly call back in about an hour and ordered a dozen muffins for a breakfast party. They looked beautiful and tasted delicious! Not a crumb was left in the basket. I will go there again for a meal or another order of goodies. I think The Wild Plum's food is great, tasty, fresh and the service was very friendly. Don't understand the less than glowing reviews -- I loved the place!
HORRIBLE SERVICE! I called the place four times to schedule an appointment. Every time a message was taken, but no one called me back. No one could give me an answer of why they had not called me back. How do they expect to get service when they won't return your phone calls.
.....but it's the best whole in the wall i've ever been to. My boyfriend and I stopped by for our boxed lunches and took it to the beach. It was the best view with the best sandwich I've ever had, followed by the best strawberry muffin.
This is a MUST when we go back.
The place is ok. Used them for our wedding. Owner was quite rude and lost our order. Claimed we didn't have one. She obviously needs help there! The food is ok but not the best. Like I said, it might be better if she didn't try to do all of the work.
