One of Carmel's newest and most exciting dining experience is Christopher's on Lincoln. Award winning chef/owner Christopher J. Caul has transformed one of the village's oldest restaurant locations into a modern, fun, and friendly dinner house. Dress is Carmel casual and the attitude laid back and contemporary, so guests feel comfortable in everything from shorts to suits. Charming and affable, Christopher's cuisine is sublime. Christopher's 30 years of experience as well as his three former restaurants have culminated in a menu that showcases the finest, freshest seasonal ingredients the Central Coast has to offer. Christopher's wine list features mostly Monterey County wines, as well as his favorites from around the state. rude place - NEVER again

I would not recommend this , why. food is okay, price okay but the topper was when the bar tender or who ever he was comes up to tells you you need to hurry and order cause people are waiting for you table at 8:15. it was 7 pm and we had ordered starters. we were waiting on two more people who were late but we had ordered timely to have starters when they sat down. the service was slow. took 10 min to get water. the table next to us was there when when we got there and there when we left. he did not bug them. if the food was amazing i would pardon, but the food is just okay, good but not worth a rude waiter asking us to hurry and order. there are too many great places in carmel. don't waste it here. i live in pebble beach, last time we will give these people $300 for dinner.

Wo'n't waste our time and money here again!

If you dine here and do not plan to order wine or drinks, expect bad service. The other diners who were ordering bottles of wine got lots of attention and quick service while we, who had arrived earlier than they, had to wait over a half of an hour for appetizers and then another half an hour for our food (which was only average). Other diners had consumed their desserts before we were even offer a dessert menu. Usually, we leave a 15% tip, but this time we gave our waiter a mere $3.00.

excellent quality menue very inviting nice wine selection good parings of wine to food atmosphere very romantic would not recommend children owner/chief present to help with selections and to recommend the various specials

Best food I have ever had!

I am a concierge at one of the most exclusive resorts in North America and get the opportunity to dine at the best restauratns. Christopher's was fabulous. Our food was hot, tasty and beautifully presented. I would reccomend this restaurant to anyone. The prices are also very affordable. Great experience!

Great food, great wine, great value

No matter if you are a local or a tourist, this is the restaurant for those who look for a dining experience that offers excellent California dishes and wines both at prices that can only be described as the last great value in Carmel. And the owner/chef is there too!

Always Good

Food always has great flavor, large selection and reasonably priced He knows how to cook! Great little bar and comprehensive selection of the many local wines and they are fairly priced. Service is attentive in a relaxed atmosphere. Chris works the tables and makes everyone feel at home. I have and would go back.

The thing I love the most about Christopher's on Lincoln is the variety of food served there, as well as the consistant quality coupled with great attentive service. My favorite is the Beef Carpaccio as an appetizer

Carmel Food to Die For...

My wife and I recently enjoyed one of the best meals we've had at Christopher's in Carmel. Long-time residents of the Bay Area, we've had the priviledge of frequenting many of Carmel's and Monterey Bay's finest restaurants. Christopher's, by far was our best experience. This is a place that combines cozy ambience with great food, portions and perfect presentation at just the right price. Not stuffy or pretentious, the place was romatic but fun. My filet was grilled to perfection and my wife raved about the salmon. The service was attentive and efficient without being overbearing. All-in-all a perfect night that I look forward to repeating whenever I'm in Carmel again. And this is coming from an snobby, spoiled, and anxious customer of anything.
