I don't like tomato based heavy Italian dishes so I was reluctant to try this place. I loved the food! I went with 2 other people and we all tasted each others dishes and we liked them all. The rib eye was the best we've tasted in years, the artichoke bisque soup was excellent. The service was excellent. The service and food was better than any I've had on the Old Monterey Wharf in years. I will make it a point to go again next time I am near Salinas. What a surprise!
I love the food at Gino's. I live in San Francisco, and each time I am in the Salinas area, I make a point to have either a lunch or dinner there. The artichoke bisque is to die for, and the I am always excited about the lunch specials. The service is great, and I always leave happy. Cannon
Gino's is a very good restaraunt, thats why I rated it 5 stars. It is a little expensive, but it is totally worth it! The food there is fabulous! I suggest their Blackened Chicken Fettuccini. Gino's is very good also because you can take the food to go for parties or what have you. The service there is fantastic!!! It's a very good family restaraunt, their desserts are wonderful! My favorite dessert is their chocolate bundt cake! It is to die for!!!!!!
This place is very lovely and is great for any occasion!!!!!!!
Gino's has great food that can only be outdone by Mama's own cooking. Personally, I love the spaghetti carbonara. Lasagna here is great too. If you don't feel like pasta try the prime rib. Great cocktails too. Oh--and if you're local, never call round table again. Gino's pizza for take-out is the way to go.
I visited Gino's while I was in Salinas, and it was most wonderful. The restaurant comes highly recommended. Let me tell you, it gives great support to it's reputation. The food is wonderful. The setting is very nice, quiet, and elegant. You get more than enough in portions of food, and the service was outstanding. One should not visit Salinas, and neglect to get a taste of Gino's.
