Old Monterey Cafe, Monterey

As always, the place was busy and food was plentiful. But I do think they need to change some of their coffee cups pretty soon. Both cups my wife and I used were either cracked (perfect breeding ground for bacteria) or chipped.

This place is so good. They are always busy (because the food is awesome and affordable) I get the Heuavoes Valdez its a breakfast wrap its delicious. I even order to go if Im in a hurry.

was once great...now, just blah. a few years back(maybe 8-10 now) this was the best hole in the wall breakfast in town...they need some work to get back. help wasnt very nice, our waitress was rude (not that she was trying to be, that was just her), food was okay. Still better than dennys and roseines...just maybe stick to breakfast club?

There are various kinds of food on the menu for your brunch selections. I ordered the burgers with mushrooms and my boyfriend got something baked with the smoked beef bacon (Sorry~I forgot the name...). Both are delicious and wonderful. It looks like a fast food family restaurant. Kind of crowded and noisy. But I did enjoy the tasty brunch on that Sunday morning:)

This place has to be the worst breakfast I have every had! I grew up in Monterey and my mom and I brought my husband to there since we hadn't tried the place. I got the calamari and eggs...which tasted like Fish Sticks!! This is Monterey! The place of fresh calamari so it should have tasted good not terrible. The plates are over sized, the service is terrible (we had to ask for water 3x and wasn't delivered till our meal was almost over!). There are so many other great places in Monterey and Carmel to eat...Avoid this place!!!
