Hullaballoo Restaurant, Salinas

If you are looking for a perfect location for a group dinner party do like the Monterey VA Clinic and go to Hullaballoo! Our Christmas party was lovely. The Restaurant was festively decorated and all of the food was superb. I thought the chicken breast with artichokes and sun dried tomatoes was first class. Thanks for a wonderful party. I will definitely return soon.

This place has gone down hill. The service is terrible, the food is awfull! The restaurant itself is nice, but that's all. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Unfortunately this restaurant is over rated. I've visited twice with hopes of a second chance rebound. The food was okay, but the customer service was very lacking on every aspect. Rude, unattendive, messed up our orders twice, drinks were icky with salinas tap water. We thought we paid way too much for the all around service. Definitely not worth it nor would I recommend.

I work for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, a non-profit organization. Yesterday, we held an event sponsored by Hullaballoo at their restaurant. The owners donated a beautiful banquet room and excellent food for our expected 100 guests who were all there to raise funds to fight neuromuscular diseases. I can't say enough about their hospitality and generosity. We couldn't have picked a better restaurant for this event. I also want to mention that the food is EXCELLENT! THANK YOU HULLABALLOO!

Over memorial weekend, we had a wedding rehearsal dinner party for 60 guests. I can't say enough great things about Hullaballoo in Old Town Salinas. The food (we had a plated dinner with 3 entrees to choose from) was amazing! The presentation was artful and we were served in a very timely manner. The Atrium banquet room was spacious and it's decor was absolutely lovely. The owners and serving staff were accomodating, courteous and extremely easy to work with. All 60 of our guests were also guests at the wedding on the day following and they all could not stop talking about what a wonderful dining experience they'd had. I would highly recommend this establishment for large parties and I will certainly return on my next visit to Salinas. Good Job, Christina!

We we're driving down from Morgan Hill today, looking for a caterer for our wedding, which will be held at Mission San Juan Bautista this summer. We spoke to the Catering Manager, Cristina, who was nothing short of excellent. Hullaballoo is well worth its rating as Salinas' Best Restaurant, according to the Monterey County Weekly Newspaper, and as we spent an hour with her, we found out why. Cristina perfectly described and assembled samples of the dishes we were leaning towards, and helped in every aspect of the process. She has been a wedding planner's dream. We are so confident and looking forward to the food, that I even took it upon myself to write a review based on this first experience. I will certainly write again after our wedding to let everyone know just how things went. I expect perfection, and with Hullaballoo so far, they deliver just that.

My husband and I went to Hullaballoo a couple of weeks ago. This is by far one of the best restaurants that I have been to. The food is different, excellent and a special treat. The staff and the owners are attentative and constantly asking if we needed anything...I have never had a better pork loin and the pinneaple upside down desert is to die for...not done in the normal style....Do yourself a favor and try this restaurant.
