Went there twice, first time with a large group and second time as a couple. What a fun place with excellent food. The service is professional, making for a good time all around.

We walked in on a slower night and were accommodated at the nice table! Our server was descriptive with both food and wine.Everything was coursed out for us by our great server! Food tasted very seasoned and you can't beat an amazing dining experience!

Good food and Good service. What else more could you ask for. A plate of food I barely took my eyes off while eating. I'm the guy to brush tomatoes to the side, but I ate the whole thing. Very nice, we'll be back.

Amazing food, ambiance and service. I visited this restaurant with my father.I highly recommend this place as the food is great and the owner goes out of his way to ensure you have a pleasant experience. I liked the fact that many of the customers were regulars, who the owner always greeted personally. They have a very nice patio. It seems great for a nice intimate party.

I came here for my birthday, and the combination of brilliant food and friendly service made it perfect. This is the place to get real Basque food. The waiter was charming and I regret that I don't remember his name. It really doesn't get any better than this, all in a romantic, cozy space.

The food is good, they have a large menu with lots of things to chose from. The flavors are delicious and food was fresh. Nice people run it and service was good.

My brother and I were visiting California and, having grown up in the New York area, the only type of cuisine we had never tried was Basque. We saw some menus and reviews of Basque restaurants in LA, but we were not convinced. Then my brother received an enthusiastic recommendation, so we decided to give it a try. From the moment we walked in the door, we were treated like family. We the restaurant filled up, we saw that this was standard procedure for the staff. Both new and familiar customers received prompt, attentive and friendly service. Our questions about the dishes on the menu were answered cheerfully and accurately. When it turned out that some of our dietary restrictions did not allow us to eat that evening's side dishes, the chef volunteered to come up with a more than satisfactory substitute that was not on that evening's menu. As for the main dishes...WOW! My brother ordered Lamb Stew (Txilindron). He found this to be the second best lamb dish he had ever eaten -- edged only by our Mother's Shepard's Pie remembered from many years ago. I ordered Roasted Garlic Chicken (Oilaskoa). Frankly, it did not read as id it was one of the more exciting offerings on the menu.But with my multiple dietary restrictions it seemed to be the safest. It turned out to be absolutely delicious, with a melt in your mouth texture I rarely find in the chicken dishes. Our waitress' wine recommendation was backed up with an invitation to taste before ordering. The wine -- from Basque country -- was a perfect complement to my dish. My brother ordered the pudding cake from the dessert menu and was not disappointed. Our experience at the Basque Restaurant was memorable.

I accompanied my parents to Basque in October on a visit from where I live. The staff could not have been nicer. They gave honest recommendations from the menu and helped us choose drinks to accompany the food. The food is absolutely perfect, the familiar flavors arranged in surprising combinations. We had, hands down, the best dessert I've ever tasted. Even after living close by for 6 years, The Basque stacks up against the best I have had here. I can't wait to go back!
