This place is great for lunch and great for dinner. It's a small restaurant, but clean. They've been opened for 15 years and they're still going strong. The food is fantastic, but the portions are a bit smaller than most. The family that owns Miyako are the nicest people ever. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Absolutely THE best Japanese food I've ever tasted! Especially their Tempura! I've had Tempura at other restaurants that looked and tasted like they dipped the shrimp or vegetables in corn dog batter....Yuck! But the delicasy of their Tempura is far and beyond the best I've ever had! The family who owns this restaurant are exceptional people and after a while they know your name, where you like to sit, and what you usually order! ;O) The portions for lunch are on the small side, but in the evening they are more ample! You won't be dissapointed ~ Make plans to try this place soon!
This is the best Japanese restaurant in town. Every dish is exceptional, from the thin skinned, savory gyoza to the fresh and beautifully presented sashimi. The menu is ample and includes hot pots of yose-nabe and sukiyaki and yakisoba, a noodle dish. I personally love the deep fried soft shelled crab and combination dinner of chicken teriyaki and tempura. The salad dressing and teriyaki sauce are house made and far and away the best I've ever had. Prices are reasonable, too. Highly recommended.
