Vineyard, Madera

I love this restaurant Michelle and Thomas are great we always have a good time on Monday nights with these two!! We love how they pick on each other. You can really tell these two enjoy their jobs! The food is outstanding as well we love the menu changes and it s like having a personal chef on hand nothing is ever denied! Love you guys!!

The Vineyard Restuarant is consistantly great food and atmosphere. It is hands down the best place to eat in Madera but also in the top 5 in the greater Fresno Area. They have a good selections of wine. Local reds in the $20's that are very nice. I am always treated very well and they accommodate my often late arrival. Very professional and courteous waiters and owners a nice guy. I wish i could have such a rest in the Bay Area with its quality and value.

I dined at The Vineyard off and on. But not any more. I rate atmosphere as poor; the waiters/waitresses are always polite and welcoming. However, the times I've dined here, there is a gentleman who evidently is the owner. I do not get a welcomed feeling, not friendly, in fact a distant and non-welcoming attitude. I just thought maybe he's having a bad day, but this is all the time, others who are with me notice it also. I see him friendly and welcoming with other customers. Therefore it seems as if it's selective. Needless to say, I don't plan on dining here again. It's a horrible feeling and I get the hint.

We were there with a party of 20 and all of the food was mediocre or worse. The staff was very nice, but most of the food was awful! The only thing good were the portobello mushroom fries! YUM!!! but I will never go back.

I stopped at a new hotel on highway 99 and was told nu the clerk that the only decent dinner place nearby was The Vineyard. Boy was he right! Seldom do I stumble upon such good food via word of mouth, and I travel 3 weeks a month. First of all, the building is entirely unique and quite attractive. I was greeted the moment I walked in by a tall elegant man who turned out to be the Manager. He couldn't have been nicer and immediately seated me at a nice table. Then he took his time telling me what that night's specials were. He went to great lengths to answer my questions and made me feel right at home. I started with an outstanding local chardonay and fresh local figs wrapped in prosciuto in a sweet sauce. Utterly delicious and unlike anything I have ever had before. Then I had the Chinese Chicken Salad, which I have had in many spots around the country, and it too was outstanding. There was a fun crowd in the bar that I was tempted to join, but I had an early flight out of Fresno. I highly recommend this establishment.

My husband and I had dinner at the Vineyard on the 11th day of our road trip from Seattle, via Santa Fe and Las Vegas. We happened upon The Vineyard because of a flyer at the hotel. What a treat! The atmosphere was relaxed but sophisticated, the service excellent and the food was the best that I had had during the entire trip. The tuna was lightly seared, the vegetables delictable and the salad was delicious. Five stars all around!
