Loved everything. Rented a Patio boat which they gave us a discount on. The food was great and reasonably priced. Wanted a bigger place than the 1 bedroom we booked, so they let us look at a few and choose. Great views. We've reserved # 3 again. I can't imagine anyone complaining. Our dogs loved it. We go before Memorial Day or after Labor Day, so no crowds. Bass Lake is a hidden Gem! The Forks restaurant is great. Especially the Burger!
We planned a 'family' vacation here for the first time to Bass Lake---what a horrible mistake!! Our cabin had capacity of 6 people and we had 5. The rest of our party stayed at the campgrounds and tent camped. Well, the owner of the resort advised there could not be more than 6 people at the cabin. I told him only 5 stayed overnight and we did things as a family during the day. Well, I guess you can't do that as he said they take into consideration the sewer usage and water useage for the cabin and it's only to be 6 people. Soooooo, if you are planning on having visitors/family don't stay here. There are always people to do things with during the day and I don't think ANY resort has the right to tell you that you cannot!!!! We left a day early and will never return. Oh, yeah, if you decide to stay you better bring your own toilet paper and paper towels. They have ONE ply of each and get REAL upset if you ask for more. Wiping your butt on one ply is HORRIBLE ! Our neighbor in the next cabin said he asked for an extra bath towel and was told no that they had the number assigned for the cabin already. THIS PLACE IS UNBELIEVABLE !!!
I loved the Forks cabins. You're close to the lake. They have a little store with a coffee shop that has really gooood food. breakfast, lunch,& dinner. The cabins are really nice inside and comfortable. It was just an all around great trip. I will definetly go back. And best of all you can bring your dogs with you. Loving that.
We were made so welcome at the Forks we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. The views from your caBin are very scenic its just a wonderfull idyllic spot. The adjoining restaurant and bar is very lively with a good atmoshere. If your travelling in and out of the park we recommend you stay at the Forks its a great little spot. There was nothing we disliked about the place and would go back tomorrow.
