I used to eat at Giovannis a couple times a week. There aren't many pizza resturants in the valley. After a few months of good pizza I started getting pizza that was not fully cooked on the bottom crust. I started ordering in well done and that didn't help. I finally called on my last pizza and told them and they actually argued with me. They said thats the way it is because of the amount of toppings on the pizza. LOL! That's a bunch of BS. They actually put the cook on the phone and she gave me a bunch of argument. I couldn't serve the pizza and after they way they treated me on the phone I wasn't about to waste me time cooking it more in my own oven. We tossed it and went down to Goleta and had Rusty's pizza and a wonderful freash salad bar. The staff there were friendly and we eat there at least once a week. It's worth the 35 mile drive.
I used to buy pizza there regularly. Then I bought a pizza that was inedible and I thought one of the ingredients must have gotten mixed with anchovies or something. I just got another small pizza, 3 ingredients, for $16. and it tasted so salty and that weird fishy taste in the sauce. I don't know what they are doing, but that's it for me. Domino's tastes normal.
Fed a family of three for under $20. This in itself is a miracle in Solvang. The salad was fantastic, so was the spagetti, the garlic bread and the calzone. Haven't tried one in years and it was delicious. Bring the family. It is a self-serve pizza parlor w/ video games and big screen TV, but its not too noisy.
