Klondike founders, Mike and Pam Dennis met in 1981 at a blackjack table in the Noluk Casino in Skagway, Alaska - the gateway to the Klondike Gold Country. Mike, a suave, debonair librarian from Kotzebue, AK, had wanted to go to Las Vegas, but couldn't afford it on his meager librarian's salary. Pam, whose stellar career as a world famous supermodel had tragically ended when she tripped over her chihuahua and broke her hip, was the dealer running the table when Mike sat down. Love bloomed and soon they married. Pam's best friend, Eskimo Elvis , an Elvis impersonator by night and world renowned pizza chef by day, performed the ceremony.
Appalled! Bought a 16 , pepperoni, white onions, olives, mushrooms, cooked tomato, marinara, for we two seniors to bring home for just under $28. Received: Marinara (mostly in the middle), tons of mushrooms, NO OLIVES, Lg. sliced RAW tomatoes, generous onions, pepperoni only on the OUTSIDE rim of the pizza and smatterings of cheese.(middle) It was tough, flavorless & nothing resembling the quality as I d known from prior 8 visits. NOT returning again!
Klondike Pizza is the best Pizza I have ever had. I absolutely love it. I lived in Santa Maria for a short time but i could not get enough Klondike. The road kill is my favorite. I just got back from Santa Maria last week and I am already having withdraws. I am now living in Atlanta, Georgia and I really need a road kill on red sauce.
I will get some more at Christmas
Absolutely the best pizza in Santa Maria. I think eating there when the pizza is just out of the oven is the best. Unlike other pizza places, a large is a large and enough for a big family. We usually get a medium for three adults and one kid and still have enough to take some home.
My personal favorite is pepperoni and pineapple or a Denali (yum).
The best thing about Klondikes is the staff. One of the few places left where customers are treated well.
I don't think they deliver pizza so I don't know what that other review is about.
