LA Conquista, California City

Unfortunately, we visited La Conquista on our first night moving into town, and haven't been able to drum up the nerve to go back. The food was pretty bad, and the service was lousy. Other people we know who used to love the place have told us that the service they've received has really gone downhill in their last few visits. If regulars are going to be treated like that, why would we expect any better? We're not going back. Go to Ramon's instead. Unfortunately, we understand they're related somehow--cousins I think. Too bad good business acumen doesn't run in the family.
