Olde Port Inn, Avila Beach

I go here everytime I am in Avila (at least once a month). It is my most favorite restaurant anywhere. Every single time the service is good, the food is good and I love the atmosphere. Very relaxing. And they have the best steamers I have ever had. Never a bit of grit and very tasty. And if you happen to catch them during the Friday Night Fish and Farmers Market in Avila, they have the very best fish tacos (always the longest line there!). I can't say enough good things about this place. And I can't believe a single thing bad said in other reviews.

The Olde Port Inn at the end of the Pier in Avila Beach is one of the worst places in the area to eat. The menu items sound great but when you get the food it is horrible, the prices are way to high only because the food is so terrible. I do not have a problem paying the price if the food is good but just don't waste your money here. The service is fair, the view is great, in my opinion the only thing they have going for them is their location. If you have a choice of places to eat then choose another because this place will only let you down. I have tried The Olde Port Inn on two occasions and both times were horrible food, fair service, over priced. They really need to clean up their act before they just fade away.

Great food and drinks.. Nice view, romantic, good place to take a date. parking can be challenging so be prepared to wait. I find the atmosphere to be very relaxing and just really enjoy me meal here.I lie to walk the wharf and see what people are catching and watch the activity after my meal. We have to agree with another reviewer, the cioppino was top notch. Great views for lunch or dinner. Not to be missed if in the area for chow. The fresh seafood market next door is a nice plus too.
