Food is Garbage, who cares about the decor, a bunch ceramic chili pepers hanging from the walls and support beams. Worst Mexican Rice I have ever seen in over 40 years of eating Mexican food, the Rice was mushy and wet looked more like somebody attempt at making oatmeal with minute rice and ketchup, no taste very bland . Ordered a number 10 from the menu which is Carne Asada Taco, Enchilada, Chili Rellano , the Taco was cold and greasy with more grizzle than meat, the Rellano was more like cold scrambled eggs, and I agree with the other comments Chips and Salsa are garbage, Chips are bagged bulk cheap & stale, Salsa is obviously Jarred Picante Salsa and maybe even from New York City, LOL..... Would never recommend anyone or ever attempt to eat there again, A waste of 15 bucks for Lunch. Glad ZI checked it out before I took the family as it would of spoiled any night out for dinner and a movie... 9/16/2010
Thanks, Johnny and Anthony for the recommendation, you owe me

If you want good Mexican food that has the right amount of Spice then travel to Cutler and eat at La Esperanza's it blows this garbage dump
My husband and I ate there the other night and it was wonderful. We only ate there once before and it was great but forgot about it. The first time it was perfect, very romantic, only a few people in the place. This time it was very crowded and although the service and food was excellent we felt a little rushed. The bill came before we even thought about another drink or desert. We probably wouldn't have had one anyway but we like to take out time. We will definately eat there again. The food was fabulous and quick.
This place is pretty good.Had lunch here the other day. Great chile rellanos and the fried chicken is really good. I love the Las Palmas Burrito. It has real tender chile verde inside with rice and beans. I have to say, I have a few complaints, though. One is that they play 50's music from the juke box all the time!! I absolutly hate that! If you are in a Mexican restaurant, then you should be listening to Mexican Music! I mean, if you are at a Diner eating burgers and milkshakes, then Great! But please--cut the 50's music! Second, all they serve for salad dressing is that homemade 1,ooo Island crap. Where is the Ranch for those of us that don't care for the mayo/ketsup dressing. And last, when they seat you and quickly hand you the menu, they don't even ask what you would like to drink. It's a bit frustrating, because it can be 5-10 minutes or so untill you see the server again. Other than that, we enjoy coming here.
Attempted to go to this restauraunt for lunch, it took the waitress 20 minutes to decide to come take our order. At this restaurant you are advised to choose your own seat. At the end of my lunch hour the food still was not at our table. When I asked a waitress who was passing by if everything was ok, she responded that had I sat in her area, I would have been served already... too bad I sat myself where I did. Horrible service, dont know what the food is like, I left.
