El Jacalito Grill, Kernville

We have been here several times on camping trips, when we did not feel like cooking at camp site. The food is wonderful with good authentic Mexican flavor. It is not overly spicy but still has good flavor. The only problem is the waiters do not seem to pay attention when you giving your order. Two different times my husband has asked for pot beans, instead of the usual refriied beans. He does not really care for refried beans, but the waiter always brings him refried beans. After the second time of not giving him what he asked for, we decided not to go back. I do miss their wonderful food, but realize if the service not very good. They ignore you with drinks too. It is sad that the service could ruin an otherwise very good dining experience.
