Are these reviews for real? The carved lamb is simply a pressed meat concoction of hamburger and a tiny bit of lamb ground together and then forced into the shape of a roast so they can carve from it. It comes out extremely greasy and nasty with no hint of lamb flavor. It more closely resembles sausage but without the pleasant taste. Additionally, dont expect greek staples such as hummus and pita bread to be included with your meal. These are extras. Huh? I won t return. I just cant believe all these positive reviews are real. But dont take my word for it. I actually prefer Ali Baba s on Madera when I need my mediterranean fix.
Greek House definatly has the best Gyro in Simi. Very small place, Cash Only. Hummus is OK and the pita bread is good but not fresh hand made. It is probably the best Greek in Simi, way better than Daphne's and a bit better than Chef Burger. I have had good chicken and chicken that is a bit dry. Tzatziki could use a little more cucumber. Don't drive to Simi just for this place though, if you are in the Valley try Pita Pockets on Reseda, Pita Pockets is delicous and they make fresh laffa bread that is possibly the best I have ever tasted. If you are closer to Thousand Oaks try Darband Grill on T.O. blvd.
great food. served family style...lamb, laffa bread, rice and veggies. baklava afterwards tops it all off.
ample parking in a strip mall at the end.
not big on decorations, but focus is definately on the food.
I am not an expert on Greek cusine...but I like the taste in this restaurant. The service is excellent & the Owner-cum-waiters-cum-chef are very customer friendly... Overall an excellent place to have some good greek food.
