Why do so many people that write terrible reviews have to sound like they're yelling? I don't think it sounds very convincing. Anyway, I give this restaurant 5 stars :) It is a popular place to go in SB. The sushi is delicious and the atmosphere is great too. If you are sitting at a table you will be entertained by the chef's creative style of cooking. The prices are reasonable... not really expensive. Usually there is a wait, but that doesn't take long. It is worth it.
I've been getting their lunch box for years, I called today & they told me they no longer do orders to go over the phone I have to go in and order it to go. I've seen so many people do to go orders & they take a while. Not everyone has time on their lunch break to wait that long. This is not very good for people who only take 1/2 hour lunchs. They will be losing a lot of $ for the new change. And for the food. Its not worth the wait. Service also used to be better.
Even though the prices are a little high during the dinner time, to go there during lunch time is such a bargain!!!I advice everyone to try a lunch box. It's $8.95 and you get so much stuff! one lunch box can feed a couple of people! the sushi are 50% too! Love the place!!
This is one of my favorite places to eat when I visit Santa Barbara. This review pertains only to their hibachi dishes, as I have never had their sushi. Their hibachi scallops, halibut, and chicken are tasty, and the fried rice made at your table is a must. Service can be a bit slow, especially if the restaurant gets crowded as it occasionally does.
was disappointed and the food wasn't as good as i remembered. I couldn't wait to have the sushi but once they were presented the sushi wasn't flavorful, the sushi rice didn't have enough rice vinegar and the hibachi was bland. There was too much ginger in all the sauces and dishes, from the salad dressing to both seafood and beef hibachi sauces were overpowering with ginger. Ended up going to another sushi restaurant across the street right after the dinner to satisfy my sushi craving.
