My wife and I decided to try the Palace Grill when reading the menu posted out front and we are both thrilled that we did. Our meals were outstanding as was the service. We loved the muffin appetizers that came in several different flavors. They must be reading the reviews posted here because we found the drinks to be very good and not at all weak. We will definitely be going back on our next visit to Santa Barbara.

Wow, this is how a restaurant should be! Great food and the attentive wait staff keep me coming back to the Palace. Any time I come up to Santa Barbara, I plan on dining here. The drinks are great and the Cajun style really is a treat, the area doesn’t offer much in this method of cooking. I usually order the blackened catfish and always have the flash fried artichokes for an appetizer. I’m usually disappointed with the vegetables that most restaurants serve with the main course, but not here. The grilled squash and new potatoes are excellent. If you want a special treat, go for the bread pudding with whiskey cream sauce as your dessert. Even if it is busy, they don’t ignore the customers waiting to get in. We were standing in line outside and they brought us out non-alcoholic drinks. Live music on the weekends and a champagne sing-along toast adds to the uniqueness of the Palace.

FANTASTIC!! We stumbled upon this place when our GPS told us directions to a restaurant that no longer existed. We were looking at the menu when a lady walked in and told us it was a great meal...she said that she got engaged in this restaurant - that was enough for us so we went in. What luck - the food was awesome... everything from the 7 different flavored muffins to the meals! You have to try this place and my vote goes for the chicken marsala!

Meal was great. Service was great. However save your money on the drinks go to Joe's for a drink. The drinks were very weak. I had the pasta with crawfish it was excellent and my friend had the blackened pork chop which was excellent. Great muffins too.

If you like Cajun food this is a must go restaurant located in downtown Santa Barbara. I loved the Cajun Crawfish popcorn. (It is so yummy!) Don't forget to try the Palace Sampler Platter. As a reminder, it is always crowded during the weekends or holidays (sometimes long line to get in). I recommend to make a reservation ahead of time. I had a great time there and the waiter was great. Feel free to check out their website www.menuclub.com

You HAVE to eat here. If it's not for the fantastic history behind it, what with playing cards stuck to the ceiling and pictures of blues musicians on every wall, then for the perfectly Cajun-spiced food. I had never had Cajun food before the Palace Grill and according to everyone I was with, they know what they're doing here. PS. Don't miss the nudey tiles in the bathrooms!

DONT GO!!!!!!!!!Me and my friends came to SB for the weekend and chose to eat at this place it looked nice and the food sounded good; yet to our surprise we get the total opposite. The waiter gave us our drinks right away and never appeared again. He passed by us a couple times and he didnt bother taking our order. Instead he went to sit a table with a bunch of friends. We ended asking for the bill for the drinks and walked out. DONT GO
