Holdren's, Santa Barbara

I have had such bad service ALL three times I have been here (and I'll three times the same waitress, how does that happen?), it really ruins the whole meal. No more chances from me, sorry.

reminds me of a NY steakhouse, except that the value is much better. Excellent steaks and when we went in for the Monday rib deal it was out of this world. All you can eat for $20! My wife had seared Ahi that she loved. We spent some time at the bar before they sat us and really enjoyed the guys working there. Friendly and very funny. Has become one of our favorite places in town

Food was great service was ok, but we won't be back at Holdrens Santa Barbara. When I called them to make the reservatins I asked the person if they are kid friendly and she said yes but when we got to odering they didn't even have a kids menu. I ended up ordering chicken for my daughter which she didn't even eat. That is not my main problem. When we got to the restaurant 5 mins after our reservation time the hostess smiled at us and I told her that we had reservations and then she told us that the table we are getting is booked for another party in two hours. What a way to greet to a first time customer! Then the next day I called the Manager to let him know about our experience at his resturant I felt like he totally took his employee's side. He didn't even apologize. If the Head Managment is reading this please try to educate the employee's of Holdrens Santa Barbara about custemer service.

The resturant ambiance was fine and the food was pretty good, however the menu pricing it incorrect. My boyfriend ordered a dinner meal that suppose to come with a side order, however the waitress charge us $4 for the mashed potatoes (side order). When we pointed out to her the menu states that the meal comes with the side order she replied the menu is incorrect. Later she went to talk to her manager and I was hoping they would deduct $4 from the bill, however the manager continue to charge us for it. The $4 did not mean anything, but the principle is that the menu stated it inlcudes the side order for that price. Legally the resturant is at fault and should have waived the $4 additional charge. I was about to make a fuse about it, but is was my birthday and just wanted everything to be smooth. Holdren's should inform their customers of the price change PRIOR to the customer ordering the dish if they did not have time to revise the menu. Poor customer service and illegal advertisement.

The food is amazing I love it there...I dont have a problem with the food i would reccomend it anytime to anyone... However, the service is the worst i have ever recieved anywhere.... We make reservations and they say its going to be a 20 min wait... Very RUDE hostess and waitresses... the service matters in order to be able to go back we are now trying the one in Newbury park.... Please GM if you read this train your staff better. They do work customer service after all....
