Went at 3pm on New years Eve- ordered eggrolls- which were pre-cooked, tasted old & barely warm. Ordered Mu Shu pork- the pancakes were loosely rolled- and the sauce came packaged in a plastic take-out container-but tasted ok. The Hot & Sour soup tasted ok- but was not hot. Lemon chicken was good- but the steamed rice was dried out & room-temperature- obviously had been sitting awhile. The Buddhist Feast vegetarian dish was fresh, hot & tasty.
For $40 (with tip)- this was not worth it. Won't be back. Will go back to eating at Szechwan Garden!
I have no idea what beca is talking about. She probaly hasant tried real chinese food, just fast food chinese food. The best in simi valley. In my opinion. But i have to agree with her its no 5 star restuarant. But who cares we are there to eat. I give it a 5 for simi valley.
Having lived near China Town in San Francisco, I was devistated when I moved to Simi to find Panda this and Panda that for Chinese Food. I tried this place and was VERY surprised. The staff was so very freindly and accomodating, it feels like a family run restaurant. We had delivery in 30 minutes and the best food outside of China Town I have ever had, Simi or anywhere else! It was not china town as it was still Americanized, but wow!! A long way from the Panda places! Try the Orange chicken! It or anything else we had was like nothing you have tried before outside of China Town.
It's just a standard Chinese Resteraunt, but the people are friendly, the food very good, for Americanized Chinese, and we're never diappointed. Decor is no frills strip mall box, but it's open and uncluttered. Good Eats.
