Excellent Authentic Mexican Food
I dined with my husband, daughter, niece & grandson. We were recognized & greeted with friendly smiles & although our table was for 4 1/2 persons, & the restaurant was bustling, we were seated quickly. I had a seafood enchilada special that was excellent! The seafood (sauteed)was fresh & succulent, their quacamole, chunked full with avocados, cilantro, lime & a bit of fresh jalepeno's top notch, sauces mouthwatering. Their margueritas are wonderful.Menus on every table for their specialty drinks. The grande marguerita is a specialty drink and it is made with an upgraded tequila (hornita's) & the grande comes from (grand marnier) It was devine!!! Their prices were great & the service was A+++. I certainly recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates fine mexican food and with a great (steal) of a price. The restaurant is fairly large with upstairs & downstairs dining as well as a great outside area, with a pond full of turtles, the building that the restaurant nestles in was one of Santa Barbara's old monasteries..& it's located at the back of a shopping nook, once a courtyard entrance, now full of gallery & specialty shops right off of State Street between Anapamu st & Figueroa St. A definite find!!!
