Arigato Sushi, Santa Barbara

The food is pretty good and I would say the prices are reasonable. They have a very expanisve menu with every type of sushi you can think of. I was a little confused on what kind of food they were serving though as the sushi dishes in terms of presentation were fairly ordinary but the sashimi appeared to be asian fusion given the extravagant not-so-ordinary igredients like their mango ahi sashimi. When we were there, the bill was $100 plus tip for 2 of us (3 beers total included). TIP: Make sure you get there early or be prepared to wait as its full everyday of the week and they do NOT accept reservations.

The food is excellent and the service is great. Whenever we travel to Santa Barbara, we we stop by there & enjoy their Sushi.

I thought the food was great and the servers were very cool. It does get crowded, but overall it's a very friendly place. Santa Barbara is just a beautiful place to be...and there are a ton of great restaurants to try. This is one of the good ones.

What Arigato has in populartiy, they lack in quality and quantity of food. The rolls are tiny, the busser hovers over you to swoop on your empty plate right after you're done, and the prices are too high for how much you get. I have been to other Japanese places in Santa Barbara (Edomasa, Ichiban) and those prove greater than Arigato.

Unlike the review before mine this sushi is THE best and soooo inexpensive. You get the same quality for double the price anywhere else in LA/ OC area. One of the best restaurants in Santa Barbara - would reccomend to anyone who loves great sushi.

Arigato serves an excellent array of sashimi, sushi rolls and traditional nigiri. While I believe that the price was a little much, the service and the substance made me forget it. We spent about seventy-dollars between three of us for a combination platter, and four individual rolls. Everyone left happy, full, and content with the service provided. Friendly staff and prompt service only made the experience that much better. If you've got a little money to spare, I highy suggest you drop by. It's worth it.

This sushi place is perfect for a date or just hanging out with friends and family. Waiters and chefs are very nice. Recommend:SNAKE ROLL(similar to dragon roll) Very nice surroundings and out of about 80 sushi places I have been this definatly makes top 5.
