"Anything grilled is divine, and the rest of the menu is delectable at this charming Italian restaurant in Santa Barbara known for its excellent execution of simple pasta, meats and other classics. A fantastic wine list with many available by the glass; its a local favorite, so reservations are a must."
my friends raved and raved about this place... so i had to go..
I was sad to say...
course one: way to salty!
course two: flavorless!
course three: just bad
I had a bite of my friends meal that she was raving about... bland... when my other freind and i left we couldn't say one good thing about the place... they were really expensive too.. i would have rather eaten at persto pasta..sorry
We have eaten here several times over the past 3 years. The quality of the food is good and some dishes are excellent. Service is bad and when issues were reported to management they were ignored.
Our recommendation is to go somewhere else
i think this place is way overrated in terms of quality of food.had steak and i would be better of eating at sizzler.i know it is an italian restaurant but when u charge 27$ for a steak it better be good.
Excellent food, but you must be able to tolerate tables close to each other and noisiness sometimes. This is one of the best Italian restaurants in town. There are a lot of mediocre Italian restaurants in SBA and this isn't one of them.
I was so excited as Ca Dario came highly recommended. It was my first time and it will be my last. It was the worse dining experience that I've had in Santa Barbara. I ordered a salad. The spinach was yellow and wilted. The waitress apologized and asked me whether I wanted to order something else. I ordered a Caesar salad. Half the lettuce on my plate was rusted! How can a popular restaurant with so many good recommendations serve salads that are inedible?
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the ravioli and the brushetta. Also, order the fruit puff paistry for dessert. If you are a chocolate lover- try the chocolate mousse with rasberries (it's light and airy-very nice). I have brought at least 50 people there since I discovered it two years ago. I celebrated my college graduation, anniversaries, and birthdays there- they are family to me now! You'll love the service and the rocken' food!
