Wood Ranch Barbeque, Moorpark

Had a good experience this week at wood ranch. You can smell the BBQ from the 118 and boy is it tempting! Went here for lunch and had a really good salad and small bbq sliders. Just perefect and tender meat and the salad was fresh and tasty. They also have a full bar and some good margaritas!

We've used Wood's Ranch for catering and the food is great for these events. They have it prepared and no one has had a bad thing to say about it. The main dishes are excellent portions, the peanut cole slaw is to die for and the sides are reasonably priced. The restaurant experience is a different animal and I have to agree with some of the negative reviews. That's why I like take out or the catering.

Watch for hair in your salad!!! I had Tri Tip salad today and unfortunately was not able to make a comment: that was our department lunch. Horrible!!!

I've been to this place 5 times over the past few years because for some strange reason my wife loves it. Every time I eat here they screw up the order...every time. Wrong food, missing food, not cooked the way I ordered it. It's almost funny that the service is so consistently poor. The food (and atmosphere) is just sort of blah and I don't see the appeal, but again, my wife (and friends) seem to think it great. I just don't get it. :-(

I like it alot. Better BarBQue than Famous Dave's. Friendly staff. It's so popular that there is a wait to be seated on weekend evenings, although it is definitely worth the wait.

Food tough, overpriced and the service is poor at best, they make you feel like you are bothering them. Our server answered her cell phone at our table, come on now. Go into Simi or Thousand Oaks for BBQ. My co-workers eat at Bandits' for lunch almost every weekday, I am off to try it.

My work always gets Wood Ranch delivered for our Christmas lunch. We look forward to it all year!
