I got upset with the two bad reviews I read, I mean not to say it is peferct but it is seriously a very good restaurant, good food, good selection of wines, fast paced employees. I read today the chain is financially in trouble. Too bad. Same time, McDonalds is doing very good. I guess people deserve what they deserve, give them Big Macs and a coke, and let them watch speder-man.
Gave the place another try but it was just as bad as it was ten years ago. (The last time I ate there)
The ice tea was cloudy and bitter so I exchanged it for a diet soda
The menu seemed nicer this time, but more limited than I remember. I opted for the stuffed chicken Marsala and the Tuscany soup.
Bread sticks were soft and tasty. The soup was like watered slop! Ground sausage and sliced potatoes in water.
I sent the soup back and worked on my bread sticks and soda.
The stuffed chicken and mashed potatoes came out but the chicken was unrecognizable as chicken. It looked like a hash brown patty and it tasted like a piece of fried tofu. I had a second bite to confirm it. Yup - tofu.
I asked the server if they used frozen chicken breasts and he said they sure do, but everything else is fresh. He asked, not so market fresh eh?
I told him it was like eating a TV dinner.
Well the potatoes were ok. I ate about half of those and pushed the plate aside. If I had paid full price for the chow, it would have been $26 bucks including the tip.
Service is top notch. Too bad there is no reason to go to this place that appeals to my stomach.
