NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I BEEN TREATED SO POORLY!! Honestly, if I could give this place zero stars I would. I came here because I had a Groupon and it was by far the WORST dining experience I have ever had in my entire life. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. We walked in and immediately got the impression that the host and waiter were on something. We were seated and the waiter brought us each a drink and an appetizer. I informed him that we would be getting another appetizer, we just weren't sure which one yet. After that, we did not see the waiter or any other employee anywhere for THIRTY MINUTES!!! Finally, when we were ready for another round of drinks, we just walked up to the bar to get them and still no sign of the waiter, or any staff for that matter. So after we finished that second round and still did not see the waiter, it was then my boyfriend went to go find him. He found the waiter standing in a circle of about 4 others and had to exchange words with him to get him back to the table. At this point, I ordered the appetizer we wanted and he did not so much as apologize for completely neglecting our table or even acknowledging that we were there. I decided I did not trust eating whatever he was about to bring me. He had sent a different waiter to deal with us and both seemed like frat types who would probably spit in the food. We left the Groupon on the table and walked out, having only spend maybe $25 of its $40 value. One waiter followed us out and said we had to pay our bill. We told him the Groupon is on the table and that's it. I don't even care that I didn't get my full $40 worth. This was by far the most awful [lack of] service I have ever received in my life. It is disgusting that management lets employees treat customers this way. DO NOT COME HERE. If you are at the Block and looking for somewhere to eat, do yourself a huge favor and go anywhere else. No one deserves to be treated like a piece of garbage. And there are so many better options.

I've been to this place twice. 2 times too many. For me, it ruins to dining experience to hear a manager unprofessionally scold employees in front of customers. I was reading a review below- service is slow... I can tell you one of the reasons, the poor young men and women are consoling one another from the management that speaks to them like they are mentally incapable. It's rude, it's upsetting to watch and I wont be returning because of it. Learn how to communicate effectively managers- your customers are watching and hearing your lack of couth.

I've been there a few times and each time I kinda get the same service they are always verrrrry slow to get your food out. The waitreses have been okay not the best , the food is good kinda pricey and the drinks are good kinda pricey too. It gets pretty packed on weekends and they sometimes have a great belly dancer entertaining the crowd but the place itself is okay I like it but Im not crazy about it worth trying out

I loved that there's artist's of all types and around every corner of the cafe!! The drinks were done just right and our waiter was on time to take our order. The disppointment came when our food was served. That could have been our fault, we expected a meal but was served something along the lines of an appetizer (even though it was listed under dinners). Won't go there to eat, but we will for drinks!

This review is based on when I ate there last year 2007. The food items they have on the menu are all appetizers so this allows me to try different foods without feeling guilty about price or diet. The servers are always exceptionally helpful and sincere. I don't really drink but I did notice that the bartenders were friendly and and had a true interest in the customers satisfaction. From painters and dancers to forturne tellers and magicians, this place is happening all week. You can find balloon artists like EddieMedrano.com or Brian Potvin from SillyProductions.com entertaining there on Friday & Saturday nights. CTTT's first major balloon artist influence was Don Caldwell. He now travel around the country as his character BusterBalloon.com with his wife Laura Caldwell of AcmeBalloon.com One of Don's balloon art educational dvd's was recorded at CTTT a couple of years ago. From time to time you will see Carmen Tellez of CharmandHappy.com face painting or twisting balloon art or even there just to hang out or jam with other artist who meet there to jam. This Cafe Tu Tu Tango has an Artist Heart in mind.

Fun place
My wife and I have gone to Cafe Tu Tu Tango many times. Most of the bartenders are really friendly and generous (if you know what I mean). The food is overpriced but their drinks are fairly priced. The atmosphere is one of my favorites for any bar around.

That place is magic!
By ,
The food was great. We had a really good server who knew the menu inside and out. My wife is allergic to certain nuts and our waiter was able to direct us to exactly what we wanted. They had dancers that came right up next to our table. The best surprise was that they had a magician there. He was awesome! We were blown away. He kept changing his tricks from card tricks to little red balls to magic coins. Then he used my wife's wedding ring and made it vanish and reappear on HIS hand. WOW! I'm still baffled by that. He made our night. After he got done with us, he went over to a different table. Sure enough, within a few minutes they were screaming and cheering too. What a great place.

So Much Fun!

If you love food, and love to have a lot of different things, this restaurant is awesome! Small Plates, lots of different flavors, and they make a wicked sparkling sangria! (Make sure to have a Designated Driver!) My faves are anything that is served on a stick, the weekly specials, and the roasted pear and balsamic on pecan something or others. But... your meal isn't finished till you have a flaming dessert at your table, I highly recommend the s'mores! Finally, they have live entertainment on the weekends, the balloon guy is cool, the dancers are fun, but my fave was the close up magician. Came to our table and totally fooled us up close. Quite honestly, we're a smart group of people, and we couldn't figure it out! It really was magic! Go with a group, it's a blast!
