Carne Asada Y Camarones is citrus-chile marinated steak and sautéed jalapeno-garlic butter shrimp served with sautéed onions and bell peppers, rice, and warm tortillas. The carne asada’s marinated flavor is excellent! Its robust, spicy flavor goes well with the juicy meat. You can order it the way you want - rare to well done. The camarones (shrimp) is perfectly cooked. The jalapeno garlic butter for dipping is out-of-this-world delicious. The tails are cooked so well, you can eat them too. I’m serious! Think of crunchy shrimp-flavored potato chips. Thumbs up, way up!
Muy Grande Platter is grilled chicken breast, tender carnitas and your choice of cheese picadillo beef, shredded chicken or shredded beef enchilada, and served with sautéed fresh vegetables, charro beans, rice, and warm tortillas. The carnitas were juicy, tender, and succulent. The chicken was a bit ordinary. The mango salsa on top provided a spike in flavor but it was still missing something. A cilantro cream sauce with the mango salsa on top or mole sauce minus the chutney might help kick it up a bit and help to keep the chicken from drying out. The enchilada has a wonderfully juicy shredded beef and the enchilada sauce had a deep rich flavor which complimented it perfectly. Thumbs up!
Good selection at their Sunday Brunch. The margaritas are excellent too!
I HAVE EATEN AT THIS RESTAURANT BEFORE AND THE FOOD WAS NOT GREAT AND THE CHIPS AND SALSA WERE CARD BOARD TASTING. THE ENCHILADA COMBINATION TASTED LIKE A BANQUET TV DINNER. iT WAS FLAVORLESS AND HAD NO SPICE TO IT REALLY. THE SPANISH RICE TASTED LIKE IT WAS BOILED. NOT WORSE SPENDING YOUR MONEY TO GO OUT. THEY SERVE YOU THE FOOD AND THEY LEAVE AND NEVER COME BACK TILL THEY NEED YOUR TABLE FOR THE NEXT CUSTOMER. THEY NEVER REFILLED OUR DRINKS. THE ATTENDANTS ALL DISAPPEARED. THE HOT FOOD THAT IS FOR THE ALL YOU CAN EAT IS ALL PICKED OVER. I WOULD SUGGEST IF YOU'RE GOING TO EAT THERE AT LEAST ORDER FROM THE MENU OR YOU MIGHT GET SOME SPIT. THERE ARE NO SPIT GUARDS AT ALL YOU CAN IT. THE LEMON CHEESECAKE TASTED LIKE FROZEN WHIPPED CREAM. I COULD NOT REALLY TASTE THE CHEESECAKE PART. THE RESTAURANT IS PRETTY BUT IT DOES NOT MAKE UP FOR THE FOOD.
I have been to multiple Acapulco restuarants and have always loved it. I was excited to find this one in Orange which is close my new home. The restaurant itself looks great. Its pretty new. We sat on the patio since it was a nice day. There was only one other couple outside. It took almost 10 minutes to get us a menu and take our drink order. The staff was very unattentive. It almost seemed like we were inconveniencing them. Once our food arrived it tasted very below average and bland. I had the halibut tacos which weren't too bad. But my husband was very unimpressed with his shredded beef chimichanga which he orders every time we go to Acapulco. The meat wasn't shredded and the chimichanga itself was dry. We left very disappointed and most likely will never eat at this Acapulco again.
Worst happy hour experience I have ever had. The waitress didn't come back but every half an hour. The food tasted like it had been sitting out for days. And the staff was very rude. Not to mention that the drinks they made were all sweat and sour. If you are looking for a happy hour place. I would not recommend this one.
This is the worst acapulco ever. I love all the other ones. Ther service was slow and horrible. They ran out of tacos... but when we asked the manager about it he stated that the tacos slowed down the other orders so he couldn't put it in. Even though they advertise the happy hour till 7 they ended it at 630. False advertizement. And not to mention that the food buffet was empty and they wouldn't refill it. Advise to you... pick another acapulco to go to!
Sunday brunch includes fresh omelettes, tacos, and waffles made to your liking....Free champagne too! Weekday lunch buffets are only $8.49. Same company, but I think Acapulco tastes better than El Torito...even their chips and salsa. Watch out for their margaritas....they are potent!
