Pepeac2s Restaurants have continuously served the Southland with fine quality Mexican food. Pepeac2s was founded in 1962 by two brothers, Joe and Tony. The restaurant was originally named acoeEl Adobeac and in 1963 renamed acoeEl Jardin.ac Unable to find steady business at first, the location was changed several times before finally settling in Alhambra in 1963, where the name was changed permanently to acoePepeac2s.ac During these early years, the brothers often relied on the help of family members to keep the business growing. In 1963, their nephew acoePepeac was sent to fight in Vietnam. This is when Tony, out of love for his nephew, renamed the restaurant after him.
