Pepe's Restaurants have continuously served the Southland with fine quality Mexican food. Pepe's was founded in 1962 by three brothers, Joe, Tony and Fred. Unable to find steady business at first, the location was changed several times before finally settling in Alhambra in 1962, where the name was changed permanently to Pepe's. During these early years, the brothers often relied on the help of family members to keep the business growing. In 1962, their nephew Pepe was sent to fight in Vietnam. This is when Tony, out of love for his nephew, renamed the restaurant after him, Pepe's.
went to the drive-thru a couple days ago and when i got home i realized that they did not give me my change (5 bucks) I called to complain about the mistake and the manager apologized, said he would give me back the over charge and a free burrito for the mistake. when i returned the next day, I was denied my refund of the overcharge and the burrito. DONT GET RIPPED OFF LIKE ME. If you ever see a Pepe s restaurant....RUN. and hide your money before you get robbed also
Fast service Mexican food, served in a clean place by friendly people. Not fancy but good. Their breakfast burrito is the best anywhere. Contrary to a prior review: THERE IS NO LETTUCE IN THE BREAKFAST BURRITO. I have been eating them for years and I sigh in complete contentment when I open the soft warm flour tortilla to look at the filling. No lettuce ever! Their Pico D' Gallo is great, their sauce in the squirt bottles is a little bitter for my tastes
