Renaissance Bistro, Brea

My boyfriend and I had our first date here and it was wonderful!! Almost 9 months later, we still love this restaurant. Great food, wonderful service!! This really is a hidden gem. It's one of our favorite spots. If you're looking for wonderful Italian food, a small, cozy atmosphere and great service, I highly recommend Renaissance. :)

The service was terribly slow. Now one thing you should know about me is that 1. I give people the benefit of the doubt AND 2. I let people know how I feel. So I told my waitress that I was in a bit of a hurry it had been about 20 minutes since I had ordered my food. it still took another 10 minutes to get my food. They couldn't get ahold of the manager when I asked so after eating I left. The food was ok, but nothing great. I think if you want customers back after an experience like that you gotta check on your customers regularly and let them know what's going on, ie the kitchens backed up. And they would appreciate it a great deal if you gave them something, either a small something to eat, or even a $5 gift card.

This place is great. They have excellent food. The atmosphere is great. There's a nice patio outside and on evenings, they sometimes have a guitarist out in the patio area providing music. My husband and I love going to this restaurant. It also has great lunch specials all week long.

The worst dining experience ever!!! We arrived and ordered our meal within 5 minutes of being seated. 30 minutes later and our meal had still not arrived. How long does it take to prepare a salad and a sandwich. Granted, if we had ordered something more complex, then I understand that a meal may take some time to prepare. However, Subway prepares sandwiches while you wait so I don't understand how it can take over 30 minutes to prepare a sandwich. Our waitress did not even check on our food nor on us to see how we were doing. After 35 minutes had passed, we got up and left opting instead for yogurt next door. I would NEVER recommend this location to anyone I know.

By far the best resturant in the area! I have eaten there several times and I have never gotten close to the service anywhere in Los Angeles. I have traveled the world and the food here is always great! The best salads ever!!! I only take loved ones there, the special people in my life.

I love this place! I've been going to this restaurant for years now and I have never been disappointed. Not only is the food consistantly great, the service has always been good as well. My husband and I love going here, just bring some gum because the food is pretty garlicky, depending on what you order.

This is my and my wife's farvorite restaurant. We eat here several time a month. We think the best thing on the menu is the tuscan chiken with the tomato forentine soup. Just the best. They have great salads too. I think I have eaten most everything on the menu at some point. One of the highlights is the times when we also order a desert. Many of the deserts are prepared by the mother of the owner. They also have a pretty good list of wines if you enjoy a good glasss/bottel of wine with your meal. You cannot go wrong with this place!
