Ichiban Japanese & Sushi Restaurant, Brea

I love this place. I have tried other Japanese restaurants in the area but this is by far the best. I lunch and dine her quite often and am never disappointed.

Great food, great staff... I have been eating here for years. My wife and I order the same exact thing every week....the staff know us by name, The foods hot, sashimis cold.....everythings' perfect. They even added candles. And theyre so cautious that theyre fake candles for those who bring children. Great restaurant and worth the drive from Fountain valley. We have tried other sushi restaurants and pass probably well over 20 japanese joints on the way to Ichiban.....My wife cant eat sashimi anywhere else. and the flavor just isnt the same at other places. I recomend ordering the Sushi Hand roll dinner. cooked: i always order grilled salted salmon entree. and on a cold night i always like to get Nabeyaki Udon. wow im hungry now . My wife always gets the the salmon sashimi...and smoked salmon sushi. cooked: she orders red snapper teriyaki entree, and the mount fuji. we go on friday nights usually and it gets pretty crowded in there, sometimes the food takes a lil while , but well worth the wait. ~sean

We have not found a better Japanese restaurant in the general area. We have been going there for years and the staff has always gone out of their way to make us feel special.

I don't know what these other 2 reviews are talking about. Quality and size portion of their sushi is terrible. Sushi was not fresh at all.
