Mexi-Casa Mexican Food
There is plenty of atmosphere here since the waiters and waitresses take great pride in wearing the type of colorful outfits one might normally only see in a quaint town square down in Mexico. The colors are truly joyful much like the music playing in the background. This place is so popular that you will want to be sure to make a reservation since the failure to do so will usually guarantee a fairly long wait for a table. Every kind of taco you can think of is served here, including chicken, ground beef, cheese and fish. The enchilada platters are favorites, as are the inexpensive Margaritas and beers. Like all good Mexican restaurants, this place keeps your table's basket overflowing with hot chips and salsa. The most intimate seating is found in the booths located away from the main entrance. A few house wines are available, and bring cash since this place does not except any credit cards.
We have been going to Mexi Casa since 1973. The food is really good and inexpensive. I like it too because I usually run into people I know especially on Sunday afternoons!
The best waitress is TINA who works the groups in the back!!
Recently, it's gone through a slight remodel, but it's amazing how it hasn't changed one bit over the years.
This place is one of those 'hole in the wall' places that you would drive right by if you weren't looking for the sign, but it has awesome food (I always get the Chile Rellano / Cheese Enchilada combo) for an awesome price! Highly recommend! Heck, I'm going there today for lunch!
They just raised the prices at Mexi Casa, which means a full dinner will cost just under $5! A beer $2!
The food is good, especially for the price. The service is excellent, if you happen to sit at the station of one of the veteran wait staff.
It gets very crowded on weekends and they do not take reservations, so come early and expect a short wait.
I have been eating at Mexi Casa since I was a baby. It was our family's place to go for birthdays ect. The food is the best! The price is great for the food quality! Recently, I moved to Colorado. There is basicly no good mexican food. I can't wait for our trip back to Anaheim next summer! I'm gonna pig out on Mexi Casa when I get there!
Best place for Mexican food that I know of. Incredible value - great service. Been going there since 1977. Food is always fresh and tastes good. Not fancy food or decor. Why buy fast food when you can eat at MexiCasa for less and get better food? The chile verde is excellent and a true bargain compared to other places.
I've been eating at this place since before I can remember...literally. I lived in Anaheim when it used to be next to Anaheim high school. At least they still have the picture with the drunk Latino guy in front still.
Prices can't be beat...$1.50 beers, $1.25 wine margaritas and $3.50 or so for pitchers...and the food is EXCELLENT! Try it for yourself and you'll be a customer for life. Took my wife once and she wants to go there all the time now. Mexicasa for life!!
I was there last week with a group of 9
We had great service and great food.
In fact, we had the backroom to ourselves.
Otherwise the place was really busy.
I love the chicken (dry) tostadas with
The guacamole is great.
I'm getting hungry just writing about it.
Gwen Stefani and her band No Doubt! used to frequent Mexi-Casa. Not for the gourmet flavor, but for the value. My first time I took a business associate who also hadn't been to Mexi-Casa, but his colleagues recommended it. The name and reputation of value precedes it's outdated decor. Also, it isn't the best Mexican food, nor the worst, but it is amazing to see prices that were popular in the seventies. $2.75 for a a plate of tacos and beans and rice is unheard of! I would return for cheap eats.
i used to live down the street from mexi-casa. i love that place. if i could, i'd eat there every day. no kidding! i go there for my birthday lunch every year. i can't wait to go back. im already craving their tostada supreme... oh, it's just sooooo good :]
