Food and selection are so so.... Terrible service. I did not buy drink but could locate where the water was. So, I got myself a soda drink with intent to pay for it. The waitress who was acting more like a policewoman reacted faster than a bullet and told me I have to pay for the drink and collected from me. She was watching me to see what I was drinking. What she should have done was to ask me since I did not order the drink, I would have to pay for it. Instead, she treated me as though I was stealing drink from them. Not a job for a waitress. Not worth going back, neither for food nor service.
I have been there several times, and the food isn't the best, but it is okay. The worst thing is that they run out of some foods and i always have to wait for my mac and cheese as well as for french fires
I was in town christmas 2003 for a holiday @ disneyland and we spent the first couple of days going to Mothers Buffet which was accross the street from disney(not sure if its still there would not recomend that place). We are returning this Aug for a much desired trip back to disneyland and the kids can wait to go back to Hometown Buffet. The Food is great and having differnt features everyday day make the choices that much better. If you are looking for a fancy place this is not for you but when your on holidays and you have no idea what to eat this is the place for you. Cheap...cheap... cheap.... I think when we were down there it was 38 dollars for 5 of use and for all you can eat sorry can't compare.
I have eaten at four different Home Town Buffets. All had a very good variety of foods. Good food. You can't get a better price for family dining. They have something for everyone.
Staffers are very friendly & aim to please. Only once have I been to one that was messy & that was because of such a large influx of people at one time.
I have recommended this place to many people.
Very dirty, especially dessert area! Ice cream dripping down machine pouring onto floor, food all over the floor. When we complained about it they had someone try to mop it up but it was so dried up it really took some work to clean it off the floor. The bathroom hadn't been cleaned. One toilet was plugged up, paper in all the trash cans was overflowing, baby change area was full of trash and paper, no toilet paper in the handicap stall and no paper towels in the bathroom. The men's bathroom had water all over the floor.
The main course food was fine, however,
the food was not replaced in the dessert area until we complained about it when we were ready to leave. We will never go back to the Anaheim restaurant, especially after being at the nice kept Laguna Woods HomeTown Buffet.
My husband and I are frequent visitors-so much in fact that we are known on a first name basis at 2 locations.... I highly recommend hometown, wonderful prices-great food... a fun, relatively inexpensive place to take your family.. when you have salad/soup/drinks and desert all one price and a wide variety of food you cannot beat it!!
