Kareem's Restaurant, Anaheim

Best in OC!: It may look like a "hole in the wall", but Kareem's has the best Middle Eastern food in OC, possibly all of Southern California. Their Falafel has been accurately described as "the standard by which all others should be judged." The grilled meats are very flavorful. For the price of McDonalds you can be eating healthy, fresh food. If your kids are finicky eaters, let them try the Chicken Kebobs. The atmosphere is casual and friendly. It is a MUST TRY!

This is a teeny little restaurant in a strip mall. The food smells hit you as you walk in - savory, spicy flavors. The place very clean, spartan furnishings and you can see right into the kitchen. I ordered Hummus and chicken with nuts. It was divine, chicken cooked just right, fresh hummus and the nuts add another layer of flavor. Yummy! The owners are very nice and very attentive. I've been driving up to La Crescenta or Pasadena to eat in the Lebanese restaurants with my friend. Now we can eat in OC. What a great find!

I have been visiting Kareem’s restaurant for years and the food here is really great. I love all the dishes they offer but my favorite is Kufta Kabob which is ground lamb and beef mixed with onions, parsleys and house spices served with rice, hummos and French fries or salad at $ 9.99.I think with the quality of food available the cost seems nothing. I just love this place.

Very authentic and tasty! Very welcoming family run restaurant. We found this restaurant on the internet and had lunch there on the way to Disney and was one of the better meals of the trip. The meal was made fresh, nothing was warmed over. The kabobs, falafel and hummus were amazing. Also, the home-made pickles were unique and disappeared quickly! If you like true Middle Eastern / Mediterranean food, give Kareem's a try - you won't be disappointed!

I am egtyptian man, born and raised in egypt. When i was about 20 i moved to America. And it was a very difficult time for me but the only thing that made me feel at home was Kareem's Restaurant. The first time i entered the place and smelled the food, it took me back in time to when i was a little boy and my mother was making falafel. I was so axious to see the menu that i just wanted to order everything. The owners were so sweet and welcoming and the place was so clean. They made me feel at home. I ate a combination plate of hummus , fuul, and falafel. I called my mom in Eaypt right away and told her not to worry abbout me eating the right food because i found the right place. It was just like her food. And everytime she calls me she asks if i visited kareem's lately. Also she told all of her friends about me finding a good restaurant that cooks just like her. =]

I just walked in one month ago when we arrived in California and I ordered FALAFEL sandwich. It was delicious and made me back there for tasting other foods several times. I tried kufta, Chicken kabab, hummus, and shish kabab, they are all really excellent. I have never eatten such a fantasic mediterranean food befor. I wish I can eat their food and enjoy they friendly atmosphere of Kareem's resturant again.

best food ever , fresh,clean, one cook in the kitchen which i like it .mama's food.try it and you will thank me .their falafel is different than other falafels in the area .

I've read so many reviews of this place so I decided to try. Have you ever had fresh, moist, green, yummy falafel's before? If not...then this is your place. As soon as I walked in, the lady behind the counter greeted me with a smile. I ordered a Falafel sandwich. It was soooooo good. I also ordered a side of baba ganoush. That was very fresh, garlicy and perfect. The chef was extremely nice making sure I enjoyed it. I had told them my favorite place was Mamouns in New York, and they said people have talked about that place. Before I left, I was asked which one I liked more! I used to think about flying to NY just to go to Mamouns...not any more! I found Kareen's!

Great Food and there is no question. The food Not only tastes amazing but looks amazing too =] The way the serve it looks soo cool like art ! Picosso would be proud. They have all different kinds of food which makes it easy and hard to order at the same time. But i knew exactly what i wanted. Falafel, hummus, and saute beef! It is also so beatiful to sit outside in the evening and watch the sunset.
