LA Palma Chicken Pie Shop, Anaheim

My wife lived up the street back in the mid 50s and still to this day she & many in her family go here for the best chicken soup you ve ever got to eat! My brother makes his monthly pilgrimage here to get their soup & dinners (his main studio is nearby). We try to go here at least once every other month for dinner or at least their chick pies & soups...Yowza! Menus & service are essentially the same as they ever was from long ago. They ve been here since I was born (1955). Can t give them up! Love em!!! JIM

omg i been living in anaheim for 31 years and i have been to every eatting place there is. i finally got to come here and i got a dinner combo and a soup...both things were so good been going once a week for the soup!!! there soup is so good they mite end up being the "soup Nazi" like in the show Seinfeld lol "no soup for you" lol

Ronny is out of his ever lovin' mind. Either that or his tastebuds are clueless! Great throwback to the days of diners! Real comfort food as everybody here, well except Mr. No Tastebuds, has recognized. I've never had a bad meal here. I've had the chicken pot pie, open face turkey sandwich, meat loaf, and oh, oh the that cheese burger, chicken salad! All delicious! And you can't beat their prices and especially the service. The gals that wait on you are the BEST and the FASTEST and the NICEST! La Palma Chicken Pie Shop should be dedicated as a Historical Land Mark!

Oh Yum.............I haven't been here in years, but oh how I remember the deliciousness of the pot pies, and the banana chocolate cream cakes. I've been a loyal customer since I was a baby, 50 years ago. I don't live in Anaheim anymore, or I'd be eating at the Chicken Pie shop weekly. All of my older brothers worked there as kids in the 1960's. It has always been a favoite in my family. Low prices and quality food. (and for the person that thought the food was bland, boo......) Comfort food at it's very best!

I've been going here for 28 years and they make my most favorite comfort food ever!!!! the chicken and noodles is homemade and fantastic and the bakery has some pretty good cheesecake.

Just had dinner with my wife at the La Palma Chicken Pie Shop and at best I'd say we had a horrible experience. We purchased two chicken pot pie meals and the food was bland, bland, bland!!!!!!!! I had to go to Starbucks to get the bad taste out of my mouth. On the plus side the service was very quick and prices were very cheap. But that's no excuse for serving food that's reflected in the price. We went on the recommendation of two friends, and not quite sure what they saw in this place. The only thing redeeming thing about this meal was the dessert. I got the sherbet, which I'm pretty sure they didn't make. If you like bland food, than this place is for you.

ARE YOU HUNGRY FOR A CHICKEN POT PIE? IF SO COME HERE AND YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPOINTED. THE SERVICE WAS GREAT THEY TREAT YOU LIKE FAMILY.

Every time I visit southern California I go out of my way to pick up dinner at the Chicken Pie Shop. My dad washed dishes at the Chicken Pie Shop before I was born, and growing up I remember looking forward to getting chicken pie's to go - and getting to pick out our favorite pie for dessert! The La Palma Chicken Pie Shop doesn't have anything on Mrs. Knott's!

I live in Flagstaff, AZ now, but I spent the first 40 years of my life growing up, and settling into adulthood, in Fullerton, CA. The Chicken Pie Shop has been a part of my life for what seems like forever. And for good reason: it's The BEST! Crackle Barrel can't hold a candle to these guys. It's the place the 'locals' go to dine when they want that down-home, country-kitchen cookery. This is 'Ma & Pa' at their finest. If you're in town making the rounds of Disneyland, Knott's, and Universal and find yourself quite sick of the latest 'avocado/mango/chipotle' cuisine (and the price that goes with it)... if you find yourself hankering for a lighter-than-air dumpling, a chicken dinner with REAL mashed potatoes and REAL gravy, a chicken-pot-pie with a crust to-die-for, a slice of old-fashioned apple or chocolate cream pie with a cup of plain old-fashioned fresh-brewed coffee... then The Chicken Pie Shop is the place for you, *vvvbs*

I have driven past this place many times and wanted to stop. I finally got the chance and wow, what a great place. It doesn't look like much when you drive by, but the food is awesome. I had chicken and dumplings and thought they were better then the ones I make. I would recommend this restaurant.
