Alcatraz Brewing Company
With a name like Alcatraz, so synonymous with Bay Area history and culture, it should come as no surprise that the restaurant is devoted to conveying a sense of San Francisco in a more-southern (and certainly sunnier) part of California. Alcatraz Brewing Co. lines its walls with models of familiar San Francisco attractions such as the Golden Gate Bridge. The menu also references different areas around the city (Pier 39 Fish and Chips and the S'Nob Hill Margarita, for example) and the food itself, like the San Francisco Crab Melt, is similar to anything you would find at Fisherman's Wharf. However, the menu is subject to change depending on what's fresh, so call ahead to find out what executive chef Michael Miller is preparing for the day.
I like this place first time I went there hmm two years back to st pattys day and they had happy hour specials and green beer and irish car bombs the food was great . I recently went there again and the food was delicious the drinks were as well our waiter was supper nice also we sat out in the patio area to get happy hour prices the only negative we sat next to two hardcore smokers they went through 5 cigs while they were there and they were there before us so that was annoying but not the restaurants fault yummy food and drinks great to hand out with friends or on a date
First off when you walk in you see a huge replica of the Golden Gate Bridge & many pieces of artwork on display. The eating environment is quite nice and service staff has always been very attentive and nice. Theres a good list of beers brewed there you can choose from along with a nice list of appetizers. I recommend the beer sampler. ;) Patio for outdoor seating as well. Kids menu is kinda small but I would still recommend this restaurant for families.
