For food I would rate them 4 stars, for customer service and relations, I wouldn t give them a 1. I even spoke to the manager and when I told him I was going to put this report in, his reply was, go ahead, I don t care . This all goes back to when I placed an order uneventfully for delivery, but then one of my family members said they wanted something as well, so I call back to add onto the order, giving these people even more business when the manager starts screaming at me on the phone, we don t have this item, what is wrong with you? what do you want me to do, we don t have the item , then I said to him, then why do you have it on the menu?, its not my fault I ordered something and you don t have it on the menu! Then he started to sarcastically apoligize to me, he said you know how many time I tell boss to remove things from the menu we don t have and he say no? This is not customers fault, you shouldn t be screaming at me! He want to send me food for free after arguing with me?? Would you eat the food after just having a fight with someone who just cooked your food? I will never order from them again. NOTHINGS that good I can t wait until the next day to get, frozen chinese food tastes better than that. At least you know your not going to get any surprises in your chicken chow mein!
omg Choy's is still around. I remember yeqrs ans years ago I would go therewith my family and grandpa on my dad's side and my dad would always order this green shrimp dish that I thought was very odd but was so delicious. They always had few odd dishes that seems like it was their own creation but was really good.
I must say, and I am definitely fond of chinese food, but the wonton soup is the best I've ever had !! The wontons tasted like it had some sort of asian herb and so delicious!! We couldn't get enough! My kids are very picky eaters and they ate it all...to the very last drop. The fried shrimp was very scrumptious as well !! I was pleasantly surprised!! We took our chances going in, but it was better than anything else, as the day we went was Good Friday, so most businesses had closed early or were closed for the day...we are from San Diego, but when we are in the area again, we wil definitely be back!! We have some friends up there and have recommended it to them!
I go to Choys maybe about 6 or 8 times a year. These are usually nights when you are craving some cooked food after a night of bar hopping in Fullerton, and everything else is closed. They are open until 2am, and usually its on and cracking the few times I have been there late night.
As far as the food, I would say its slightly above average. Nothing on their menu stands out as being something I would recommend to one of my friends. They got all the standard Americanized Chinese items covered very well. They have also recently have expanded their menu and included a few Hawaiian BBQ items.
I recommend this place if you have the late night asian munchies that need to be satisfied.
