The Brea location has recently remodeled and I am so disappointed with the new version. I have been going to this place for over 10 years since many of my son's friends use to work there. It was the only place I would go for a celebration. Now you have to walk all the way around to get to the front door which is a problem for handicapped friends. It now echoes inside and I can hear my margarita being made in the bar and the kid screaming on the other side of the restaurant. I now choose to go other places. My friend says the high wall give her claustrophobia. It has lost it's Fisherman Warf feel. I find other places to go to now. Their loss and mine ;-(
Service was good, very nice and helpful server. Food not as pictured. VERY pricey - needs to be 30% less on price to be a fair meal. Snow crab legs of poor grade are almost $14 per pound, and the rest of the food is typical Franchise style. Not too impressive, I normally do not patronize franchise establishments - you can see my other reviews. This was the only place to eat in Brea Mall though so I tried it. Go to a seafood buffet if you want Seafood.
The other reviews don't sound at all like the Red Lobster we went to in Brea. The service was fast and friendly and the food was delicious! No waitor or waitress sat with us, and they never forgot us even though we sat in the back in a little quiet area they have. I can't wait to go back!
Sat and waited to be acknowledged by our server. The restaurant was practically empty.
My wife and I waited 15 minutes before finally leaving.
Typical service from restaurants in this area if you aren't white.
Yeah, I said it.
When my family and I went to Red Lobster, the service and atmosphere was great. We quickly got to our seats and ordered. I thought it was going to be a great dinner, but when we got our meals the food wasn't exactly what I thought it would be.. The food had a very plain taste, especially the lobster and the shrimp. In general, the food quality has to improve a lot more.
I went for lunch. It was not crowded or that busy BUT I had to wait 25 minutes before they even asked me what I wanted to drink!
another server noticed I had not been waited on actually took my drink order and food order and saw that I was taken care of. She was very nice. My salad had some brown lettuce and my cheese rolls were almost cold.
I have been here many times before and this is the first time I have been disappointed.
When it comes to food quality, Red Lobster is great but it fails in all other aspects. The noise level in their restaurants is just way too much. The serving staff has started a new trend. They come and sit with you at the table. If I want to eat with waiters and waitresses (they are nice people), I would get a restaurant job.
If I wanted to dine in a loud, boisterous atmosphere where the wait staff claps and sings happy birthday to those patrons who are celebrating such, I'd eat at a Denny's and pay half as much for my meal. But, when I am paying $23+ for an entree, I don't think it's too much to ask that the atmosphere be one that allows enjoyment of a nice, quiet meal.
