I go to Sumo's alot but only for Sunday Brunch, It is unlimited Champaige but that depends who is waiting on you some servers are great on the refills others you have to keep asking them to refill and it ends at 2:00pm and they stop serving then, not even a minute after will they refill your glasses. They use to keep serving you until the buffet was taken away at 3:00 but not anymore. I don't go there for dinner as it is expensive and you have to purchase drinks and if you get beer or wine just to much of a cost factor..
I have to say that Sumo Sushi in Santa Ana is just great. I haven't gone there in about 2 years but I heard that they changed owners. So I stopped by one day and I have to say I am very impressed. The sushi seems fresher and everything just tasted better. I loved the appearance of the restaurant. It looks like they did a lot of re-designing. The service was great and I definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone.
I was very satisfied with everything when I ate here. They just recently changed ownership and everything is just a lot better. The sushi selection is awesome! and the food is wonderful and delicious, especially if you decide to go on the weekends. I think you really get more than what you are paying for---totally worth it!
I was so disappointed with the food. It tasted nasty. I was craving for some crabs that day and I made my bf took me there. The crabs tasted nasty, nasty and nasty plus everything else, nothing tasted right. I am not picky with the food whatsoever. My brother warned me about the place and I didn't belief him. I regretted for not listening to him because I could have used the money and spend it elsewhere, like at Todai in Orange or Home Town Buffet. Don't waste $20.00 something here, trust me or you'll regret it.
My wife and I are real picky when it comes to restaurants but after couple of visits to Sumo at Santa Ana we were amazed at so many selections of sushi (over 35 kinds), incredibly delicious hot food such as my personal favorites baked lobsters and stuffed jumbo shrimps, many seafood salads, and mouth watering deserts (over 35 kinds). Crabs legs are so fresh and tasty we couldn't stop eating them until our table was full of crab shells. By the way make sure you leave a little room for deserts because they are so delicious because they are all baked on site according to the manager. We highly recommend this restaurant to any one out there!!!
