Zenko Sushi, Mission Viejo

The service is OK, but I don't like the food very much. For instance, the sushi has more rice than fish. I wouldn't really recommend here.

I cant give them 5 stars since I dont know how 5 stars taste like because I'm a beginner at this raw fish thing... but I've been to a few sushi places around the area, honestly this is where I give Zenko huge browny points. 1) the people: service is prompt and they're very friendly and comforting, not like the 'fake friendliness' to get more tips... 2) the other ingredients are super fresh too, 3) clean!! I've never seen a place where they clean so much, but its a good thing! 4) parking: plenty of parking

Went here for the 1st time just before 2007. The place looks great with pretty good service--nice people. The sushi was above average. I've eaten here 4 or 5 times and upon my last visit I saw the sushi chef cutting cucumber rolls into sheets--I then saw him drop one on the floor, pick it up, brush it off and put it back in with all of the others. He sliced them all into sticks. I stayed away for about a month and went back another day (for dinner) with another chef on duty. This time I saw him bring something out of an under-counter fridge, smell it intently, then squeeze it as hard as he could in the sink and then dice it for another customer. I've never been back since and don't plan to.

Love Zenko. My Husband and I started going here...roughly a year and a half ago. The staff is always ready to help with whatever you may need. Rolls and sushi are always great. Their All You Can Eat menu is a pretty good size, it includes appetizers as well. I think that people who don't like this place, probably just don't like fish because Zenko has very fresh items. The atmosphere is very comfortable and inviting. We suggest this restaraunt to anyone we know, so you should too!

I've been to Zenko numerous times, and I have always been extremely content with their food and service. They've always been very attentive to us and other customers, the food tastes very fresh, and the atmosphere is just perfect. It's a place definitely where families will have a great experience. In comparison to many other places, this restaurant is on the top of my list and will probably be there for many years to come. You should definitely try it out!

Went to eat there last night. Great tasting sushi and rolls. Can't find better value then their all you can eat deal. Much better quality then a Todai type of all you can eat and greater selection as well. Nice atmosphere and fantastic service. Would definetly recommend to all those that love japanese cuisine.

It was the BEST place. For such a low price, you can have any kind of rolls endlessly. I was so impressed at the quality of the food. Everything was so fresh. I really recommend this place to any one who loves good sushi.
